Musical Influences everyone & everything

Artist History Mike's influences started at an early age, being exposed to classical music while growing up in Augsburg, a small but prominent town in Germany where Mozart resided. Against his father's will Mike listened secretly to music from America such as jazz, rhythm and blues, rock and roll and country, with a lot of help from the American soldiers stationed there at the time. Living in West Africa gave him a tremendous sense of rhythm where percussion instruments were heard from far and near all day, every day. Through his concerts promotions he had the privilege to be introduced and listen to the greatest jazz musicians in the world, such renound artists as Buddy Rich, Woody Herman, Pete Fountain, Al Hirt, Maynard Ferguson, just to mention a few. This enormous amount of influence led to producing, arranging, composing and recording music for every walk of life. His ears are constantly open for new sounds that are pleasant to the ear and will excite music lovers for years to come. Mikes latest involments, are writing musical scores for movies and being on location with the sound department in the film industry. Lorne grew up in the Dunbar/Point Grey area of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Singing came early, between the age of 4 - 5. I remember standing on the back porch of the house, one summer morning, singing about the nature around me. When finished, I was startled with clapping and applause from the neighbors who heard me. I was embarrassed but hooked. Influenced by the music of the ear, plus the strong musical influence within my family, I formed my own band and played the local circuit in Vancouver and the Lower Fraser Valley. Time went by when I met my friend Mike Mueller, whose musical heart felt inspiration hit me between the eyes and in my heart. So what can be better than create from the heart and share.
