Artist History When a band describes its music as heavy it usually means they play jock-rock riffs, fronted by a guy who has all the sonic pleasantry of a chainsaw. Not this band. Mean, muscular guitar riffs, growling bass lines, and bone-hammering drum fills meet all the requirements for blistering, heavy music, but these riffs and fills are more than that: they are pieces of a sonic knockout; thundering, intelligent musical progressions that show creativity and maturity in song-writing. But you can still crush your friends to it. And while you're moshing your friends to a pulp, you'll be humming these songs because they are that damned catchy. The melodies stick in the branches of your mind and hang there, and you find yourself singing these songs over and over. Which explains why Mindset has caught the eye of several major labels who have expressed an interest in working with the band, now that they've parted ways with their former label, Noise Records.
