Artist History
A 5-piece band from the East San Gabriel Valley, Infected has been playing straight-up punk rock since 1998. Their sound has frequently been described as "old school" -- aggressive, powerful riffs and throaty, screaming vocals, with no pop crap. Comparisons to specific bands are few and far-between, but GG Allin, Black Flag, and the Germs come close to the mark. Their lyrics run the gamut from political, to comical, to just plain rude. Infected plays clubs and backyards all over Southern California and beyond. For booking, e-mail or call (626) 477-0 |

Press Reviews
"Very old school punk with great musicianship! The quality kicks ass and so do the songs! It's a shame they felt they had to print a disclaimer to appease racial witch-hunters." -100 Punks "This week we start out slightly different than usual, with straight ahead f*cking punk rock. No pop, street or any other type - just chugging guitars, screaming vocal punk. "Infected" starts off with furious guitars and deep, gruff screaming vocals. It reminds me of some early Misfits and some Anti-Flag stuff in the way that the music is simple, chunky and effective. There are a ton of bands that Infected draw comparisons to, but why list them here when they do such a good job of standing on their own. The vocals are easy to sing along to and have the screaming Whoa-oh vocals for their fans to jump on stage and scream to." - Delusions of Adequacy "Infected played furious, fast and loud punk rock in the vein of the English bands. There was one notable exception which did make their sound stand out a little from the rest of the performers that evening—the addition of solos to the songs. The leads were not always short and to the point, which points to some other sources of inspiration than merely punk music. They put on a good and energetic show." -Rock the B |
