Artist History
The band has been together for 5 years (started 1994).Of Toronto origin, Frank began playing guitar at sixteen. His whole life changed after his uncle took him to a Jimi Hendrix movie. Frank became passionately interested in finding out all about Hendrix. He checked into other musicians such as: Elmore James,Robert Johnson, BB King, Buddy Guy and Stevie Ray Vaughan. He studied everything that was available on these musicians, and they became his role models. He enrolled in the Humber College Jazz program, where he studied under Peter Harris.During his early years, Frank was involved with assorted bands, and did all the old circuits in downtown Toronto. Places like the Gasworks and Young Station. He played all the music of the day, whatever it happened to be.But all the time, Frank was working steadily toward his goal, which was to be a blues guy, his way. With fifteen years of experience under his belt, Frank today is a full range blues guitarist/vocalist and songwriter, with his own group, The Frank Cosentino Band. |
