Artist description
The Monx write dark, deep barrages of heavy beats, coupled with hypnotic and melodic cinematic sounds. Symphonies for the next millennium. Labeling their music is to deny it's uniqueness - a complex stew of everything. These songs pour prolifically from their souls. A manifestation of their belief that humanity needs a kick start to counteract the destructive nature of modern society. Put on a Monx Track, close your eyes, relax and let your mind explore and edit the movies of your mind. The cinematic, emotional impact of a Monx composition begs for images -- an interactive adventure through your many levels of consciousness that will leave you affected well into tomorrow. |

Artist History
Skywalker and Gedi bonded over turntables in the Bronx in the early 90s. As spinning other people's music became more and more confining, they began to dabble collectively in making music of their own. Upon hooking up with Fatty Productions in 1997, they began a collective movement to get their art and music to the people. Although their expressive, emotional beats take them all over the world, they still live in the Bronx. |
