After trying to come up with someone that this project sounds like, I came to the conclusion that the sound is fairly original. Surely it has many influences, but remains authentic. |

Artist History
This idea came about in the fall of 2002. This was right around the time when my previous band Tuesday's Hero was ending. I felt that music was my calling from God and I needed to pursue it by any means neccesary. I began writing the material for 'The Storm' shortly after the demise of T.H. In January of 2003, the material was complete and in March it was recorded at Rock Garden Studios in Boulder, CO by David Moss. |

Group Members
The Downtrodden Project does not neccesarily consist of members, as it is not a formal band. It is essentially a Josh Tilsley solo project. However, the debut CD was made possible by some of Denver's best musicians. My two old band mates, Brian Konkle on lead guitar. Mike Hillegas on bass guitar. Patrick Lundberg who is the youth pastor at First Presbyterian in Ft. Collins, CO on vocals. Plus my good friend Shawna Neergaard sings lead on one song. And another close friend, Shari Koops, kicks in on piano for one song. |
 |
Instruments
This CD consists of a wide variety of instruments. There are drums, bass, acoustic guitar, electric guitar, piano, keyboard, accordian, timpani, and tubular bells. |
