Artist description
Stephane Ginsburgh is the son of economist Victor Ginsburgh and painter Gigi Serkyn. He earned a Diplome Superieur in piano at the Liege Royal Music Conservatory in Belgium and studied afterwards with Claude Helffer in Paris and Jerome Lowenthal in New York. He regularly appears in recitals and chamber music throughout the world playing modern as well as the classical repertoire and is an active promoter of new music. He frequently plays as guest pianist with Ictus ensemble. He recorded CD's for Sub Rosa label. Two of these recordings, featuring Duchamp and Feldman, were praised by the critic. His other interests are mathematics, logic and philosophy. |
