    Artist description
Nina Castel is the Sister. Boombox is her band of high school friends who have grown to become all-star musicians in their own right. Together they have rocked audiences all over the world, from Italy to USA. What started out as a fun cover band has now turned into a viable recording act that has a large and loyal following in the Toronto area. Sister Boombox shows have become an event worth experiencing in that fans truly come out to see and hear the music. Now, not only is it their unique, rockin' versions of cover songs they come to hear but also they're own brand of original rock'n'roll tunes, too. Take a listen yourself.

    Artist History
Sister Boombox grew out of a high school music class in Vaughan, Ontario. Through a mutual friend, Nina met Tony, realized they shared musical influences and decided to form a band. Tony recruited good friend Mario, who recruited his good friend Beau, and the band was formed. Not too interested in being "rock stars" with their own songs, Sister Boombox instead "pretended" to be rock stars by learning all their favourite cover songs and put on shows in their area. Soon they were recognized for their excellent take on a wide variety of covers from artists as diverse as Chuck Berry to Blondie to Led Zeppelin. They inevitably created a following of enthusiastic fans who now wanted to hear what their originals would sound like. As a result, Sister Boombox headed into the studio and recorded several songs of which 5 are available for purchase at live shows only (for now). Keep an eye out for Sister Boombox shows in your area. It will be worth a night out.
