Artist description Showcase is a highly melodic, highly energized band from Annapolis, MD. We've been writing music together since September 2002 and have been playing shows since our debut at St. Margaret's in March of 2003. We pride ourselves on our ability to write damn catchy songs that give our fans the opportunity to jump up and down one second and mosh the next, while always feeling the emotion of our lyrics. If you've never seen Showcase live, you are truly missing out. We put on a great live show filled with real energy, real emotion, and just plain fun. Showcase consists of Ryan Finch and Tim Sutton, formerly of the band Guys in the Van, and Mike Robertson and Marty Shatzer, formerly of the Drawing Board. With our combined influences of punk, emo, pop punk, and hardcore rock, Showcase produces a sound that is unique, showing the band's technical talent while never straying from the melodic and rhythmic roots that make our music so fun to listen to. Our goal as a band is to reach as many people as possible through our music. Artist History Ryan and Tim have known each other since early High School, as have Marty and Mike. The two pairs of friends didn't meet until the spring of 2002 when they ran into each other in the Annapolis Mall. They became friends and when the singer of Marty and Mike's band (The Drawing Board) quit, they decided to start a band together since Ryan and Tim's band (Guys in the Van) had just lost its drummer. They began practicing together in September of 2002 and started gigging in March of 2003. They recorded their first demo "The Showcasian Invasion EP" in May 2003
