Artist description Emerging seemingly out of nowhere, (Iowa to be exact), Polished has made clear intentions to take their hard hitting emotional metal to a larger audience. Building a fan base world wide, Polished is currently seeking sound management, which will further promote their big sounding music. Artist History In the beginning Polished started as just a studio solo project for James Shaffer. After struggling to put together a home studio and then trying to figure out how to use it, James spent most of his time staying up to late creating song after song with no vocals. Not to say that James didn't take every chance to sing that he could, the bottom line is apparently that’s where his talent drew the line. So when the writing began he tried to make the tunes as interesting as he could without a vocalist. But that just didn’t do it. So he turned to former band mate Jkub and asked if he would be into the idea of a studio project. He accepted. But the sketchiness doesn’t stop there. The two went on keeping in contact and getting together next to never while experimenting with other musical endeavors. Jkub was auditioning for Eat the Day (former Bizkit guitarist Wes Borland’s band), and Apex Theory. Meanwhile James was finding himself busy being rejected by Fred Durst directly. Then eventually the pair ended up spending entirely too much together, and Polished was Born! With an ambitious summer of 2003 release there is plenty for James and Jkub to look forward too.
