Artist History
D.O.S. was initially formed in the spring of 2002 under the name Downfall. Founding members include Renee Hauser and Kevan Corley on vocals Will Skok on guitar Nathan Huffman on bass and Joe Sheaffer on drums.
Within that fall Sheaffer had been replaced with our current drummer Larry Hubbard and Corley had quit.
In November of 2002, Downfall added two more members to strengthen there line up. Mike Oiler joined on as guitar, while Chad Burbridge joined Hauser as vocalist. In January of 2003, the moniker Downfall was officially dropped for a more original D.O.S.
In February Burbridge was replaced with Adam Vandervort, and the bands first E.P was recorded a few short weeks later.
"End of an Era" was released in March of 2003. Recorded at "The Reel Thing Inc" in Cleveland, and produced and recorded by Bryan Boyd, the E.P. featured three original songs.
Within a week of the release of "End of an Era" Vandervort said his goodbyes and left the band, and was never replaced.
The band kicked off there first tour around Ohio in the end of June playing a steady schedule one show every weekend the remainder of the summer. With the band growing more popular every show, they were eventually able to book their most prolific show to date, The 2003 Cleveland Metal Fest, which featured local favorites Mushroomhead, (216), and Dog Fashion Disco.
The band started working on the beginning of there full length album in July, but was abruptly halted when Oiler quit the band due to priority differences. A few short days later he was replaced by former "Demonic Bliss" guitarist Brandon Boles. Within 2 weeks the band was back on the road and ready to play again.
Currently the band is in the process of writing and recording new material to complete there first credible album hopefully due around the beginning of 2004.
