Artist History
Deep Ella has been in the studio for the past year recording the follow up to their debut album entitled Last Year's New Thing, The album consists of a diverse collection of power pop songs showcasing big hooks and catchy melodies, as well as the band's ability to move between different musical genres while keeping the music distinctively their own. Although Last Year's New Thing captures Deep Ella's commitment to audio diversity, this band's true distinguishing factor lies in its live show. Moving effortlessly from heavy, guitar driven tunes to eloquent, compelling ballads (and everything in between), a Deep Ella show leaves an indelible impression on each listener which can only be overshadowed by their next Deep Ella experience.

Press Reviews
Deep Ella was recently chosen “Band of the Week” in Jim Beam
Music’s 2002 Band Search
“Deep Ella has carved out its own brand of sticky melodies that has people listening. The band has forged its own anti-pop consortium replete with coherent lyrics, hefty melodies and fleshy arrangements”
The Houston Chronicle
“The band has its foot in the door of something interesting. Combining a wide array of musical genres, the result of the conglomeration of harmonies and melodies is breathtaking.”
The Daily Cougar, University of Houston
Deep Ella brings a fresh approach to today's music. [Deep Ella] is Houston's best chance at Alternative Rock superstardom. These dedicated youngsters rival anything I've heard on popular radio lately.
MyTexasMusic.com
“"LYNT", the acronymic title cut, sports a hook to draw blood...you just might find that last year's new thing is still this year's good thing”
Soundawake, KPFT Houston
“This is truly a dynamic band with a dynamic sound”
