Artist History
The Legends were started in 1998 by three guys who really sucked. The original line-up was Matt Maynard, Dick Tingle, and Brian Edwards. The band went through several member changes before eventually breaking up late in the spring of 2000. Founding member Matt Maynard went on to do other even less successful projects for a couple of years. It was during this time that he met current Legends bassist Eric "Razor" Jewell, and current Legends guitarist Tim Ebbon. They convinced him to restart the band with them in March of 2002. They asked Patrick Romantic to play drums for them, and after a couple of practices they added Tim "Worm" Willig on Banjo and Ben Dean on Fiddle. After Patrick left to start "Death and Graceland", Doug "XXX" Hurt joined the band and quickly made it his home. The Legends have recieved a small amount of local acclaim in their native Cincinnati, and their shows are dubiously recieved and sparsely attended. Despite the fact that it is nearly five years old, Bourbon Legends is a young band in many ways. The main reason is that they are all mostly new members. They have never toured, much less played out of Cincinnati, and their sound, while fresh and original, needs some fine tuning. They are currently in the process of developing their sound and hope to tour sometime soon. Definetly a band to watch out for. |
