Artist History
Risen from the days of punk, industrial, metal. You know '70s and '80s stuff.Around 1989 I sold my Corvettes in order to purchase enough gear to get started with serious music production.Of course everything backfired and it wasn't until the last couple of years that progress was apparent. For about 5 years everything sounded so electronic,so cliche. It was then that I challenged myself to incorporating contemporary sounds and real world instruments. My aim was to achieve human elements while retaining near perfect rythm. To do so I had to search my memory for the elementary skills I picked up in a drum cor when I was about 10 years old.Unfortunately my Guitar playing has taken a turn for the worse but I can manage to get the odd track in without carpal tunnel syndrome flaring up too badly.I am also fortunate that my wife takes piano very seriously.Ironic we rarely record piano.Yet there is much theory training making itself useful in our compositions.I can not claim to be of any music genre because I am very moody.I go with mood and amongst about 50 compositions, there are common trademarks while the songs are dramatically different.People often ask what kind of music I listen to.To be honest I don't like to listen to music. My leisure has transformed into A desire for silence.Listening has become more of a task.I originally became serious about music production for two reasons.Number one because I had a need to express myself and number two because I had the dream that I may reap some recognition. Not to the extent of fame, just to be acknowledged for my efforts.Long since,my ideas of success has changed.Working out a composition is by far the most difficult task i've had to deal with.As far as money goes.If I were to get reimbursed for my expenses and receive a dollar for every hour i've spent working with music ,i'd be filthy rich. |
