Artist description
Lately my debut album has had two titles. This is because it also has two major themes: Love, and the Porter Dorms. I spent three years living in these residence halls. I arrived here, barely 18, and now I'm leaving, as my 21st birthday approaches. |

Artist History
The title of my band was devised from events soon after I met Kyle Mock, creater of the band, Program Notes. After our first date, I left for a family vacation in Missouri. I was miserable because of things in my life, and because I missed this boy I had just met. I started to write him letters in my journal about three times a day. These were the most passionate letters I have ever written. Unfortunately, somehow, in my travels between Missouri and San Jose (my home town) and Santa Cruz, the journal was lost, and no matter how hard I searched, I never found it. I am still waiting for the day when he will know, in words, how I feel for him, the day we recover "The Lost Missouri Letters."
I guess I lost Porter, in a way, also. We're forced to leave this wacky place we called home, only returning as guests to witness another generation bumble through it. |
