    Artist History
Formed in 1993 as a folk duo known as The Bridge, Baldassaro and Frehley played concerts and coffee houses throughout the US and Canada. The Bridge had been a regular part of the famed Fast Folk Cafe scene from 1994 until it’s closing in 1999. With two independent releases under their belt The Bridge’s music is currently being played in over 80 countries worldwide. In 2002 The Bridge was joined by Pete Mastro to play bass but his duties soon turned to lead guitar, mandolin and banjo.
    Group Members
Charley Frehley – sonwriter/guitar, vocals and harmony vocals – Bronx, New York - born into a family in which music was part of everyday life. His dad was an accomplished pianist and his mom played piano for the church choir. You may all know his brother Paul Frehley – better known as “ACE Frehley” of KISS fame with whom Charley began his musical career in a rock group called “Micro-Organism”. Charley hung up his rock guitar to go on to study classical music as well as to sing lead solo in the choir. Charley brings gentleness as well as his metaphysical ideal to The Bridge. Jerry Baldassaro – songwriter /12 and 6 string guitar, bass, vocals and harmony vocals – Bayside, New York -set out to be a stage actor - little knowing it would be performing his music for audiences in the US and Canada with his music being heard as far away as Australia. As a child Jerry performed as a soloist in church choirs and won various state competitions, which got him an audition with the famed Vienna Boys Choir. Fearing separation from his family as well as his family jewels, Jerry, fortunately, did not make the cut. Guitar was always a part of Jerry’s life studying formally as well as spending countless hours at the old Greenwich Village clubs watching the masters of folk and emulating their techniques. Jerry brings his realist and sometimes all to poignant observations of life to The Bridge. Pete Mastro – Bass guitar, guitar and mandolin – Valley Stream, Long Island. Very little is know about Pete as we all think he was sent by a higher power and only created just as The Bridge needed him. Actually Pete is an accomplished session player and has performed with countless numbers of New York area bands. He was bassist for the very eccentric New York artist, Phoebe Leggere, for the past few years. Pete is comfortable with all styles of music and rounds out The Bridge sound with incredible bass runs and harmonics. Pete is equally proficient on the flattop and electric lead guitar. Pete brings a whimsical attitude to The Bridge.

    Press Reviews
“The music is reminiscent of a time when music was harmonies and sweet guitar work-perhaps Simon and Garfunkle or James Taylor, but make no mistake - the sound is their own…”Aaron Fox – WFDU FM “Pure, simple, compelling. This band from Manhattan will warm your soul and make you think.” Master Musicians Festival – Somerset, KY "Some of the prettiest music we've ever heard...these boys can pick!"-Jimmy & Lorraine Smart - Nasville Video Showcase ...you'll experience a feeling that could only be compared to being a witness to the dawn of creation. Music, pure and simple, the way it was meant to be played. Paul Autry - 1/2 Creeper Magazine US's Newest Troubadours - All Folks Festival - Kingston Ontario
