Artist History It all started in a small town in Illinois called Saybrook. 4 kids got together in a bedroom and started making loud noise. Brandon Jamison (guitar and lead vocals), Ryan Jamison (keys and percussion), Michael Dotson (drums) and Tim Schertz (bass guitar). We started off by just learning songs off the radio. Our parents put up with a lot of racket while we were first learning but eventually we started to come together and make music. About a year after we first started we had enough songs to start playing out so we started playing everywhere we could. We eventually started writing our own songs and even though we weren't yet a "Christian" band, we grew up in the church and our songs had a very strong Christian influence. We grew as individuals as well as a band for the next few years. Brandon and Tim eventually went off to college. Brandon studied music at Eureka College. While I was at school, I began to understand the power of music. It is an expression of our souls and a way to communicate on a spiritual level, says Brandon. Our lives changed at a youth conference in Illinois called ICTC. We all went together and felt a power too great to ignore. We had begun to feel like we were at a dead end with our music, and we were unsure where to go next. ICTC opened our eyes. It was like a smack in the face. The energy created by the music and the crowd was intoxicating. At that moment we gave our lives to Jesus. God had given us these gifts to make a difference in the world. From that point on we knew that our job in this world was to serve God through our music. We became more focused on our goals and things began to happen for us. About a month later we were approached by CMC Records, a developmental label that helps artists get heard. We signed a contract with them to pitch us for a year and we went down to Florida and recorded a demo CD which we are extremely proud of. We had made two other recordings before, but nothing ever captured the real us until now. We are now in the process of trying to put together a tour and pitching ourselves to record labels. Every day seems one step closer to our dream and we pray every day that that dream to make a living glorifying God through our music can come true. God puts each of us on this Earth with an important message to share with others and there are many avenues of sharing those messages. Music is our avenue. God bless!
