Artist description Another Fine Mess has been blending alternative rock rhythms with crunching guitars and soaring vocal melodies since the band formed in 2000. The band consists of four Wootton High School freshmen rising out of the D.C. suburbs of Rockville, Maryland. Influenced by various bands such as SR-71, Green Day, Smashing Pumpkins, and the Beatles, their fresh, creative songs deal with not only the familiar topics of girls and not fitting in, but also with the corruption in the music industry, the conformity of punk rock, and the importance of hopes and dreams. Matt, Mike, Alex, and Ryan perform regularly at Battles of the Bands, parties, and other venues. At the end of 2002, they recorded their debut demo, produced by Jack Albert. The four strong tracks on the demo prove that the D.C. music scene will be hearing from Another Fine Mess in the near future.
