Artist History
Creating a unique style, 'nDgroove blends R&B, Soul, Funk, Rock, Hip-Hop and Dance.
Their focus is on keeping music as real as possible - just like it used to be -
without loosing track of what is going on in today's music industry.
Their goal is to entertain and make people dance. Since the band's start in 2000,
'nDgroove had begun to make some noise in and around the Boston area, performing at
clubs, weddings, holiday and private parties, special events, concerts and benefits.
DeVoe (keys, vocals) and his righthand man Theo Scott (guitar, vocals)
recorded their first album "Midnight Magic" in 1985 on Star Guard Records.
In 1986 their hit single "Summertime Love" went to number 25 on the UK charts.
In 1988 they received the Maurice Starr Enterprise Award for
"Best Group in Boston" - Tow/Zone. This newfound fame allowed them
to open up for stars like New Edition, Bobby Brown, Sky,
Alexander O'Neil, SOS Band, Rene & Angela and Sherelle.
In 1993 DeVoe and Scott formed The Unit, which consisted of
band members Roberto Robinson (bass) and Mike Hill (drums).
This group would pave the foundation for 'nDgroove,
but without a powerful front person The Unit just wasn't complete.
The band members went their seperate ways, but never lost touch.
In 1994 DeVoe and Scott met Austrian born vocalist Alexa Terell (vocals)
and soon after started working on a new CD. They were writing songs and
recording and in January 2001 they put out their album "Make It Last".
DeVoe and Scott called their friends Robinson and Hill and told them
it was time to get the group back together. They agreed.
With a powerful lead singer like Terell this was going to be
a win-win situation. They are now in their third year as a band
and their sound is pure enjoyment. Using a state of the art
EV sound system they are able to replicate the quality
achieved in the recording studio.
