Artist History Upsurge began when Frank and Paul parted ways with their previous band isodope. The two began writing all new material for this new project. After several months of fleshing out the new ideas and songs, the pair began searching for the other members to round out the line-up. Bryan was brought into the project a few months later. Slowly, the band began taking shape however, the crucial bottom end was still missing. To fill in that important sonic element, Tony entered the mix. Lastly, Nick was included giving the music the force Frank and Paul had imagined.
