Artist description
Mike Anich/ Reporter for The Leader-Herald in NY: Lyntshaw is an acquired taste, but once you take a bite, it smacks you on the ass. From the steady drumline that kicks off "Virus" to the paranoid growlings by Paul, you're taken into a darker world. Don't be afraid to go. The first two tracks can be grouped together, as can the last two. Whether its "outta my way" or "don't look at me," the spare minimalist messages definitely capture the pissed off image the band craves. It's a little like The Jesus and Mary Chain meets Rob Zombie. The vocals are raw and great. Don't change a thing. Sometimes these tracks make you want to pity the singer ... Like a loney soul stuck in a dark woods by a fire, done wrong by a bitch, but crying out for attention. Then, other times you think of some stupid obnoxious biker asshole in a bar who is so drunk you can't take him seriously. Anyway, I liked it. I'd like to hear more. The baseline was excellent, the guitars could have been punched up. I liked "Virus" and "Push Me." Put this stuff on after a hard day. This is definitely full moon, red meat, wayward, in-your-face stuff that can't be dismissed as garbage. It shouldn't be. Shame on anyone who would try!

Artist History
Well, it all started with Kris, Paul, And Jay, together for years. Kris on drums, and Paul and Jay on guitars. They searched and searched forever for a singer and bassist to fill up the group. Without much luck finding someone with the right attitude, dedication, and the right musical taste, they gave up on the idea of looking any further for a vocalist. So, Paul put the guitar away and began to sing. Everytrhing fell into place from there on out. A bassist named Mike joined the group and recorded their first demo. Things eventually didn't work out with Mike due to other commitments. The group then realized they were destined to be together, without any outside distactions. That's when Paul picked up the bass and the rest is history. |
