Artist description James Faulkner is a solo artist based in the Philadelphia area who is working on a project that delivers a variety of songs that in turn will catch the interest of a wider variety of individuals. The main purpose of this would be for pure musical enjoyment, (of course!) and the rewards are many for producing your own music the way only you can do it yourself. Artist History I grew up playing a variety of instruments but one always seemed to fulfill the creative outlet and that was the guitar. Being a classically trained artist from a very young age, my influences in the earlier years included Dio, Ozzy Osbourne/Sabbath, Testament and many other guitar greats such as Marty Friedman/Jason Becker, Steve Vai and more. Original song writing was always a priority and although most of the area musicians at the time were focused on playing cover material I refused to learn the latest one-hit-wonder of the month and continued to stay focused on developing my original song writing abilities. My original creations also included classical guitar inspired by Jose Feliciano, Randy Rhoads and I always tried to include a few nice piano tracks in the at least a few of the songs. To date I continue to write by myself and collectively with area artists. I recently have been spending more time in the studio for which this page will be one of my main repositories for my finished creations.
