Artist description
Glama D (Diallo Palmer) was born on April 15,1985 in the Bronx, New York of
Jamaican parentage. Coming from a musical family it was easy to see where Glama
was heading. Watching his father and friends rehearse in their home Glama soon
developed a passionate love for music and started taking part in the church
youth choir and the school chorus. He performed lead role in church/school
songs. Another advantage was that his father and older brother were always
buying the latest records and CD in culture and dancehall reggae. Glama
developed a love for reggae music inspire by artist like Bob Marley, Dennis
Brown, Beres Hammond. In Dancehall Buju Banton, Beenie Man, Bounty Killer, Wayne
Wonder, Assassin and Vybz Cartel. He is also inspired by Hip Hop artist Eminem.
Glama’s first step in writing was in the form of poetry which later developed
into writing songs a few of which are being recorded at the moment. Glama spends
most of his spare time rehearsing with his father and a close friend of the
family Ras. He also rehearses immensely with his best 2 friends who always play
a big role in his musical activities. Glama D is currently in his last year of
High School and plans to go to college for a BA with a concentration in the
Music Business. Glama’s later intentions are to become a Writer/Singer/Audio
Engineer/Producer/and owner of his own recording company. For further
