Artist History
Chief is an Antiguan born Reggae DJ living in Brooklyn, New York. He has been chanting for nearly seven years. At the age of twenty years old he's not just a dj, he also writes, produces, and engineers his own music. By appearing on many television shows like I.F.-TV and Soundwave Television he has gained a fan base that's starving to hear more from the young talented dj. Chief has been influence by artists such as Bounty Killer & Elephant Man. Chief blends dancehall lyrics well with an r&b sound that manifest his lifestyle. Mainstream songs like "I Want Your Body" and "Run To Me" makes Chief and instant power in the Reggae World. These are the type of songs that the younger crowd wants to hear when they go to a club on a Saturday night. Songs like One Blood are conscious and will make you think about the struggle a young black male has to go through on a daily basis. Whether Chief is stealing your girl from right under your nose or uniting his people with his powerful message. There is no doubt about it, he has just solidified to the world that he is going to be a "Household Name". Currently Chief is in the studio working on the debut album "Extra Ordinary" scheduled to be released by Soundwave Entertainment in 2003. Also he's doing many dubplates for some of the top sounds in the Reggae Industry. Some of the sounds includes the Trilogy Sound, Black Chiney, Steelie Bashment, Selector Ron Don, Imperial Sound, Livity Movements, Grammazone, King Ashanti etc. If you need a dubplate for a clash contact us immediately.
