Artist History
In the mid- 1960's, the "Space Race" between the United States and the Soviet Union elevated tensions during the already tumultuous Cold War era. Steps were taken by both sides to insure victory at any cost. Little known to anyone outside the KGB, the Russians were working on a secret plan to spread Communism to any and all unknown extraterrestrial civilizations through the use of rock and roll music. The American CIA made many covert attempts to halt the Russian's advances, but none were known to have been successful.
Led by front man Nich Cosmos, the Cosmonauts were trained to be equally adept at exploring the outer reaches of the universe as they were at rocking out. During this time, the American government was expending thousands of man-hours and millions of dollars to fight the so-called "British Invasion", led by such groups as The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, and the Dave Clark Five. Because of this, the Americans were woefully unprepared from an invasion from behind the Iron Curtain.
After many weeks of training, Nich Cosmos and his stalwart crew of Cosmonauts are ready to launch into the dark expanse of outer space, and into music history! |
