Artist History
Growing up in knoxville, I first started playing bass
at the age of 15. My first band was a Nirvana Cover Band
called Kao Peptate. Originally I had wanted to play guitar
in the band, but apparently everbody else did too. So I was
forced into playing bass. After a year of playing bass I started
listening to Primus religously. I did everything I could to mimic
Les Claypool's style. Later on when I was around the age of 17, I
started getting into alot rap music. At the same time I was
playing the frontman for a Primus type band called Dysfunktion. The band
was made up of Myself (bass + vocals), Corey Meredith (guitar + vocals),
and Issac Meerdink (Drums). At the age of 20 when I moved into my own
apartment I met a guy named Josh Price who introduced me to Classic Rock.
This is where I learned to love Pink Floyd.. and weed. At around the same
time I began tinkering with guitar. Recently Ive been listening to the
Beatles heavily and it is my opinion that there were perhaps the best
songwriters in the history of rock. They could produce an album without a
single bad song. I hope one day that I will be considered in the same
league with the beatles. These days I write and record nonstop. If the song
sucks, at least I learned something doing it. |
