Artist History
The main members of "A New Radio Empire," Brian M. Hall (23) and Ryan Adkinson (23), both out of South Carolina, whom met through a newspaper ad when they were seventeen, combined there efforts after six years of playing in numerous indie bands.“The band name was inspired by the new Indie movement in music. While Indie music has been around for quite some time, it hasn’t been until recent years that Indie bands have had many platforms for their music. With e-zines, internet radio, and file sharing programs we felt that “A New Radio Empire†was a fitting name for a very inspiring time in music. Hopefully major labels won’t figure a way to shut it all down. â€( Quote from Brian M. Hall in a interview with a college paper interviewer.) In the summer of 2002 “A New Radio Empire†played several shows throughout the southeastern United States in support of a five song demo. With good reaction to the demo and some overseas interest, the band decided to expand the demo which eventually turned into a full thirteen song self titled debut album. Having recently completed their CD “A New Radio Empire†is planning on touring starting in July of 2003. |
