Artist description
Cindy Wilson is a singer/songwriter and founding member of the legendary
Athens, Georgia group, The B-52's. In between playing shows with The B-52's, Cindy also makes time these days for work on a solo project which allows her
to exercise her considerable creative abilities and affords her the
opportunity to delve into her diverse musical influences from R&B and Funk to
Rockabilly and straight ahead, no-holes-barred Rock and Roll. Cindy's
soulful vocal stylings are a departure from her work as a B-52 yet she
retains that infectious spark on stage that has made her one of the most
beloved and respected performers around.
Cindy currently makes her home in Atlanta along with her husband and their
two young children.

Press Reviews
Lee Smith of Creative Loafing commented,
"Wilson exudes a worldly senusality that her B-52's performances only hint at. Snaky,
percussive rhythms wrap around her aching vocals, recalling sassy jazz divas and oozing
Southern charm."
AJC's Peach Buzz said about her debut, "At age 46
B-52's singer Cindy Wilson still has to be convinced that she's become a pop icon.
When word of her first public solo show got around town, Eddie's immediately sold out" |
