Artist History
SMOKESCREEN was formed, from the ashes of several bands in the fall of 2001. The band began by working on their own originals and covers. With Tony's Weiland & Sully inspired vocals, Tucker & Ashby's guitar shredfest & Stef & Mike's take'em out bottom end rhythm section, Smokescreen has gotten recognition as one of Northwest Indiana's premier Rock N Roll bands. With their hard drivin' sound and killer originals like "First Try", “Listen†, “Taliban†and “Smokescreen“ and their smokin' covers of "Steppin' Stone", "Locomotive Breath" & "You Dropped A Bomb On Me", headliners and openers soon followed hard and heavy. The band has opened for such notables as: Quiet Riot and local favorites Inzane & Monkey Cocktail, as well as Trauma, and Mas Kaos. The band over the last few years have played many benefits, including a benefit for Greg Sanders & many others. The band has always believed it is better to become involved and do what they could to help others within the community. The Band also hosts a local band showcase each summer called Smokescreen Summerfest, a chance for the fans and bands to get together, party & form a lifetime bond. The band continues to work on & write more originals and plan on recording sometime in 2003/2004. |
