Artist description Second Sound is comprised of the most seasoned and talented players in Colorado mixed with emerging new raw talent. It is an 11 piece band with a 5 piece Tower of Power horn and rhythm section as well as a female lead and various auxilliary percussion instruments indegenous to Latin music. It is a combination of Jazz, Funk, Salsa, Pop, and New Age. Its possible this could be the sound of the second millenium

Artist History Second Sound is a new band started in 2003. The band recorded its first album " Rhythm of Life " in 2002 and is going to have its first show which will be their CD release party. Second Sound will be starting on its Second album late this year

Group Members Lead vocal is Samara Frame, trained singer and actor who is emerging new talent. The rhythm section includes Christian Teele ( formerly of Tony Furtado ), Jon ( Black Dog Band with the Psycho Horns ) Ridnell is on rhythm/funk/pop/blues guitar. Ronneka Cox on keyboard ( talk about true Jazz keyboard voicings! ), Dave Solzberg on bass ( seasoned veteran and also graduate of DUs jazz program and student of bass icon Kenny Walker. On Latin Percussion is Jamal Rima from local band " Kizumba ". The horn section includes Eric Schneider on lead trumpet, Dav Hoof on alto, and Kurt Moorehead on tenor sax, all of which are ex horns from the Psycho Zombiez. On Bari Sax is Rick Demay (formerly of Lord of Word and the Disciples of Bass ). And the master of trombone is Pat Blodgett who has been the top demanded studio performer in Vegas. As you can see this combination of experience and talent is going to make a monstrous sound this year
