Artist History Started out as a thing to do in free time, then evolved into a serious endeavor by drummer Chris Cole, then guitarist Doug De Vos, guitarist Matt Boone, and provisional bassist Bryan Valentine. This form went under the name Vile, but later changed to Not. A few months later, it was discovered that a band had already used the name Not in their musical career and had put out a cd, so the new form of the band (Chris - Drums, Matt - Guitar, Doug - Bass) changed its name once again to Servile.
