Artist History
Mr. Splatso is a stick figure cartoon character. He was first drawn in the pages of a school library copy of George Orwell's "Animal Farm" by Tyler Kilian in September of 1991.
Soon after his creation Mr. Splatso became a cathartic figure; an effigy to express a collective childhood angst. He became our standard (suburban) graffiti for a time.
We created crude computer graphics of Mr. Splatso's adventures. He would be hit by trucks, blown to pieces by bombs or guns, or fall from the sky, hit the ground, have a spiked board fall on him, then a bomb, then another board…. You get the picture.
And, like any good cartoon, he'd get back up and wait for more.
So now, I'm using this old friend as a pseudoname for some electronic music... So here it goes.
