Artist History Travis, born Travis Robert Winkley in July of 1981 in the small town of East Haddam, CT, is currently a graduate from Marist College with a BA in psychology / special education. Besides music, he has future endeavors to become a teacher. Travis started playing guitar at the age of 16, and for a while was in a band in high school. Once in college he hooked up with roommate Steve Black and other Marist Student’s in what became known as flightschool. In flightschool, he was privileged with the opportunity to win the Marist Battle of Bands in 2002 and open for national act “American Hi Fi.” He is now flattered with the idea of becoming a solo artist. More than anything he wishes everyone could respect and appreciate “quality music.” Travis uses music as an emotional outlet, and truly feels it is medicine for the soul.
