We are a fusion of blues, bluegrass, rock, and egos, while specializing in disrespecting
mothers and each other. Our music style varies. We create music that is a mix of

Artist History
Sledku formed as The Summit in 1986 with six members. The group dropped the keyboardist and Sid Schryver left the band and they continued on in 1987 as Fresh Tar. In 1988 the group reformed with Sid as The Summit and played together until January 1989. The group then disbanded and followed other pursuits in life. In the summer of 2002, the band members began communicating again and during that time, Sledku was born. Sledku is a new form of poetry that was created by Sleddie Slash. What makes it unique as a form of poetry is
that the poem starts with any subject line, then you follow each consecutive line using the last word of your
previous sentence to begin the next sentence. Along with playing the blues-based rock the band began with, the guys decided to do more experimental music using technology that wasn't readily available in the late 80's. Sledku's first two releases; Neighborhood Mantra, and Laughing Boys are tunes that were put together linking the past with the present. Using new music and 15 year old samples of The Summit recordings, Sledku hopes to create something new and unique for people to listen to and enjoy. We will also do regular tunes as well. Weapons of Mass Destruction and White Hair Lady are the first two of many songs that Sledku is planning to record in 200 |
