Artist History Exit Wound formed in Yeovil, October 1998. Ben, Dan and Guy had all previously played in a band called 'Blindgut' who after splitting up went on to form Exit Wound. The Original line up were made up of Dan on Vocals, Guy on Drums Andy on Bass and Ben on Guitar. After forming the band rehearsed and wrote material for a few months in a local village youth centre much to the displeasure of local residents. The sound aimed for was a mix of punk & metal with a little bit of hardcore thrown in for good measure. The band's sound continued to evolve over time, culminating in an up to date document of the said sound, the Casus Luciferi EP (released in April 2002). This record showcases a more mature sound, essentially rooted in hardcore but with a distinct metal weight to it. After the release of Casus Luciferi, the band decided the live sound would be strengthen by a second guitarist, and would also help them to achieve a dynamic sound they could not accomplish with just one. Andy put down his bass to take the role of the second guitarist, and Simon came in to fill the bass position. This line-up continued until Andy decided he needed a challenge and a change in his life. He chose to move to New Zealand for a year which opened up a guitarist slot within the band. Jeff, a good friend of ours then became an obvious choice, and after a little persuasion he completed the line-up.
