Artist description
This is one of NYC's most popular bands, where shit doesn't fly, or the Ministry of Love will kick your ass. Burny White's guitar runs wild from Chuck Berry guitar rants to Johnny Thunders guitar raves. JJ Meraz's drumming power strikes like Nirvana's Dave Grohl meets vintage Jerry Nolan. Li Murillo's vocals, soar to the Heavens like Annie Lennox, then returns to Earth belting it out like Bonnie Raitt. Danny Ray does Coltrane if Coltrane blew Rock'n'Roll Sax then takes Clarence Clemmons two-steps further. |

Press Reviews
"This band actually sounds like a ’76 New York, Max'z band. Not like all these so called retro bands. They got one foot firmly planted in the New York Dolls and one foot in 2001. These guy's work really hard. It's like the New York Dolls meet X. Go see them now!"

"What with the trend of stupid, over-pushed corporate boy-bands and bad electronica music, The Drossells are a refreshing trip back to the basics of rock 'n' roll. Simple chords, lonely horns, raw sounds, no frills ala Violent Femmes meets The Ramones, picture a raucous, rowdy evening with these guy's, and one gal, playing the smokey bars and dives that epitomize real rock music to me. The Drossells get my kudos for their dedication to the spirit of rock music, pick up your instruments and play us a song. Leave your dubs and synthesizers at home, and plau us some music from the heart."
-Preston Peet, Investigative Journalist, High Times Magazine and New York Waste

"The Drossells, a five piece, local, straight ahead rock 'n' roll band from the dirty streets of New York City. Thier five song disc with a picture of this wierd looking child on the cover caught my attention. ’70's influences like Blondie, crossed with Cheap Trick's Robin Zander-styled vocals and lots of New York attitude. Full of punchy pop riffs and well written tunes. Worth a listen"
