Press Reviews
as many people would understand going to a gig where the support is an unknown band you're usually a bit sceptical about their quality, rarely are you as impressed as I was with 'Counteract'. This hatecore outfit destroyed the crowd with their fast riffage and powerful vocals, all I can say about the rhythm section is that its so refreshing to see strait off rock drumming without fast double beat behind it. I can't say enough about this band to explain the originality and energy that goes into the set, all songs give you a f*****g good reason to get moving and the mighty pit that formed obviously agreed. Counteract screamed skin-head rape and all this was confirmed when The Rape Song was pulled out of the set list. Sludgy, powerful chords prominent behind inspired bass and drums. I cant urge you people more to go and see the next show Counteract put on (30th August Bedworth civic Coventry) because you will be blown away. Because of "lack of funds" Counteract or C.T.A as they can be known don't have a demo but according to their website(Http://www.Cta-Counteract.cjb.net) a demo is being arranged with the title "Old Enough To Bleed" which I have to be honest is a perfect title for the music! All I can to finish off my review and anyone who has seen them live will agree.....Why aren't they signed?!"
