Artist History
HANG ON AND ENJOY THE RIDE
A fitting motto for a four-member band from Detroit, Michigan with a sound and stage presence unlike any other. Bridge's sound can only be described as Detroit rock 'n' roll, and you know it from the minute you hear the first chord. These boys know what it takes to make music for the people.
Tim Slatts asst Program Dir. at 100.7 WMMS Cleveland says,
"One of the best records I've heard in years"
Since the band's founding members met in 1998, Jason Lollio, Paul Moore, and Dave Coughlin have gone on to perform all over the globe, including dates played across Europe, and has gained attention with each passing night. However, as the band members progressed they felt as though an essential ingredient was missing and decided to look outside of Detroit for that something special. In October of 2001, they found the missing link in Geo Teubl, an experienced vocalist from Los Angeles, California who was willing to move cross-country after just a two-day meeting. "After we flew him out for the audition, he was the guy from the minute he stepped off the plane. Once we got to the rehearsal space we just clicked." says Coughlin of his first impression upon meeting Geo. Teubl's introspective lyrics and extensive musical background is just what the band needed to carve their niche as Detroit's finest band.
Rick Franks President, Clear Channel Detroit says:
"Great Album, you've got a winner here!"
Their first show together in January 2002, Bridge oversold the Magic Bag in Ferndale, MI at over 500 people. Since then they have gone on to play in front of 3400 at The State Theater in Detroit for a promotion with WRIF and headlined their own radio show at The Royal Oak Music Theater in Royal Oak, MI bringing over 700 people to witness what all the buzz is about.
Sean Kennedy, Guitarist for Lava recording artist Outspoken "We've been touring for quite some time now, and these guys are the best pure rock-and-roll band we have played with!"
After 2 weeks holding the number 1 position on Soundscan for indie band single sales in Metro Detroit, Bridge has also just completed work on the remainder of what will be their full-length release. This project will bring full circle what the band feels is their continuing maturation. The still untitled album was produced by Al Sutton (Kid Rock) and Andy Patalan (Sponge) "It's been a long time coming to get to this level of playing and writing," says Bridge, and no doubt the bar will only continue to raise.
Seth (The Barbarian) at 100.7 WMMS-FM says: "Bridge has been the most requested band in the History of the "Fresh Baked Hour" on WMMS, stop calling"
Steve-O from Jackass: "They're not in it for the music, their in it for the Rock and Roll."
Meltdown at WRIF 101.1 Detroit says: "Killer CD, You must see them live." |
