Artist History The band started officially in the Spring of 1998, appearing first as The Commercials before changing the name in mid-1999. AOJ came to be when three members of MCA recording artist and concept-group BOBGOBLIN teamed up with a new guitarist and began writing new material. The BOBGOBLIN concept was left behind when the new formation resulted in a new sound, and The Adventures of Jet was born. As of October 20, 1999, AOJ has self-released their first record,
