    Press Reviews
Review by Bobby BensleyOn to the music. I am going to break away from reviewing the individual songs here and focus on the artist and page. Martin Adams is a very diverse and expressive Piano / Keyboard player. His music is rich with emotion and can survive all-alone. Beautifully composed and expertly played this artist knows his pallet. For a pallet is truly what he is working with here. His brush may have keys instead of bristles but he paints beautiful pictures none the less. Music that will carry the listener on a journey through time and space, Taking them through the full gambit of expression and emotion along the way. Not an easy task to do with just a piano and Martin does it very well. Another thing he does well is present his music to the listener for consumption. More info could be given but at least there is a bio. One thing I have really noticed while listening to the artists on Java and I have listened to a lot of them. As I slowly make my way through the whole roster here one thing I see with alarming frequency is a page with one to 4 songs and ZERO Artist info. As a fan and listener I hope that the artist will give me some info about themselves so that I have something tangible to grasp as I listen to their music for the 1st time. Something that will allow me to connect with the artist on a human level as well as the connection they are hoping their music will make on an emotional level. As a promoter I hope to see the basic bio info on the artist page along with a picture and maybe some links back to other sites where I can find more of there music that is not available here. I look for things like links back to reviews the artist has received and to somewhere I could purchase their CD should I so desire. Oh he sings too :-) very nice mellow Baritone and nicely written lyrics. Sorry the song One More Dream just came on and the vocals caught me off guard. Back on track. By providing this type of info the artist sends the message both to the promoter and the fan in me that they are serious about their art and hope that someone will not only connect to it on the emotional level but also on the ever elusive financial level. If the listener connects with an artist’s work emotionally they will want to buy it or get more of it. We see this everyday in stores all over the world. Shoppers buying music and paintings and sculptures and other pieces of artistic expression because it moved a base emotion in them. Often times this emotion is only stimulated for as long as the music lasts so if easy to find links to the store are not available an artist has short changed not only themselves but their potential fan as well. Ok I will shut up I have an article to write on this very subject and I am getting carried away and writing it here. Martin Adams Peace, Bobby Bensley
