Artist description
Some music critics would say that a perfect blend of Hip-Hop and Rock cannot exist in one substantial band, these critics have not yet heard Kalabo. Kalabo, whose name is an urban modification of the more commonly used word collaboration, is host to three established rappers and three credited rock musicians whom together, create this groups authentic sound. Within this unique combination is one of the IE's (Inland Empire) well known rap icons Lunch from the group Homeless Nation, whose efforts have sold over thirty thousand units independently in the streets of Southern California. The second rapper 3dee, with his left field lyrical style, has appeared on numerous underground projects such as IE's first compilation, the infamous "Portal Live", and the "Strikes Back" compilation. The other MC on the roster, Mr. Yella Fella, has also blessed microphones in abundance with rhyme and production attributes on the "IE" compilation, "The Big E" compilation, "The Portal Live" compilation and a solo "Yella" album. The bands drummer Fingazz, who also is an established producer, has played and toured with an array of groups and live bands stemming from En Vogue, to the renowned funk band, Slapback. Kalabo's bass; Gee, and lead guitarist; Mad Dog, have played together for countless years. Their combined overtone has been celebrated with many underground hit bands including Enyta, whose performances have packed fans in clubs on the slow nights. In the end you're hooked with six sizable and rising musicians who combined, make this band what is truly the best Kalabo of the new Millennium. |
