Artist History
Chris and Tim Waffle, the foundation of what is Hot Waffles, would like to say that their combination of rock and comedy has transformed the Orange County music scene. Unfortunately, most people, when asked about Hot Waffles, say "Hot who? What now?" Neither a fan, nor critic favorite, the band continues to rock with guitarist Damien Orlock and Pook! on keyboards. |

Press Reviews
"...I have finally had a chance to get to listen the the latest Hot Waffles CD entitled "Breakfast of Champions." This is some good stuff. I laughed hard at a lot of this CD. As a fellow musician, I'm glad to see see that Hot Waffles is ripping on the late 90's boy band genre with "13 Year Old Girls are Gonna Love This Song;" the more boy band bashing parodies the better! "My Father The Foul" is a great parody of the standard sitcom form. I look forward to playing some tracks off of "Breakfast of Champions"..." -Keith Rose aka Keeter ManHost of "Insanity on the Airwaves""Hot Waffles, a comedy-rock group from Orange County, and the third band of the evening, was definitely not timid. It began its set with "We Suck Live," ostensibly the usual opener. The song title does not speak truthfully of the band, however, evident by its crazy, energetic blend of humor and melodic noise. In the future, listen for "Salisbury Steak TV Dinner (I Love You)." -From the USC Daily Trojan, Wednesday, September 27, 2000 "California quartet tackles tough issues (such as whether or not Bert and Ernie are gay) in the form of goofy, but generally well-intentioned Comedy Rock tunes." -From listen.com |
