Artist description
We were a psychedelic band living up on a hill in Lafayette, in the east bay, in Northern California. We played at all the best-known venues through 1967-69: The Fillmore, the Carousel Ballroom, and the Avalon Ballroom in San Francisco; Seattle, Washington; the Oakland Coliseum; and the Sky River Rock Festival in Washington State, to name a few. Bill Graham with his Shady Management Company took special interest in the band, and took part in many bookings. The group was to lose Bobby Winkelman, and later Ross Valory, Jack King, and Dave Denny as they later became the third & forth incarnatiions of the Steve Miller Blues Band. Ross Valory later formed Journey, & The Storm. |

Press Reviews
If any one group can legitimately qualify as the "great lost psychedic band", then Frumious Bandersnatch are that group. The few tantalising glimses of the combo afforded by their sole release from the 1960s have engendered an enormous reputation. |
