Press Reviews
This is quite a likeable selection, a song with a lot of merit that is worth recommending to fans of the metal genre... It is described as a power ballad, though I think it is probably accurate to describe it as a thematic piece. Amazingly it is not as bombastic as many songs that call themselves power ballads would tend to be. In fact, it is refreshingly crisp. It does not outlast its stay.
It is not overly repetitive of its core sections. In fact, it is quite interesting in that it spends only a cursory amount of time on its verse and chorus, and ends after time spent more extensively in its bridge section. This is quite nervy and audacious, and it works, and there are also other elements of note from this section. First off, the guitar work, quite refreshingly, makes minimal use of histrionics. There is a loud bell that rings through the final section that caps it quite interestingly prior to the close. It could have come off as pretentious, but it does not; it actually makes good sense melodically and rhythmically in this song.
The verses involve snaky guitar lines that hold one's interest. There is a great, unconventional chord progression. There is a clock ticking worked in through the early section ...There are some nice piano tones at the start, and some keyboards as well. The vocals are from the Ronnie Dio School of soaring tenors...there is some frank expressiveness, and overall the vocals are capably performed and effective. ***Review of "Time Alone" by Doc Zeller of Gods of Music***

"EZRA STONE" ROCKS THE UNIVERSE!!! I was absolutely floored. Ezra Stone is one of the most amazing heavy metal bands I have heard in a long time. I have played this CD over and over. It is definitely worth having...The first thing I thought of was a comparison to Dream Theater...I also heard influences of Kansas and Rush. ***Review of EZRA STONE's 5-song cd sampler by Brave Dave of DEAN GUITARS
