Artist History Svelte was begun in 1991 by Steven Clark and Michael Wertz. They were at first primarily recording artists but gradually began to make rare and much anticipated public performances. They have played at Cal State Hayward, the Epicenter Zone, Woodstockhausen 1999, and will be playing at Day On the Lawn IV on New Years Y2K.
