Artist description
David Cullen creates a unique blend of Classical, Jazz and World Music in his engaging performances. He has gained a fine reputation for his improvisational and interpretive insights. David Cullen has performed for Classical Guitar Societies, Jazz Festivals and Performing Arts Series. David began playing the guitar at the age of 7 with an interest in Folk and Blues. His interest expanded to Classical and Jazz. He graduated from the Hartt School of Muic. He studied with Sharon Isbin and Manuel Barrueco along with Ralph Towner, John Abercrombie and Wayne Krantz. He has toured throughout North America and Japan. He has performed with Will Ackerman. David Cullen teaches at Elizabethtown College and West Chester University. David Cullen records for Solid Air Records. He was recently featured on the 25-year Guitar Retrospective CD from Windham Hill entitled "Touch." |

Artist History
David is a magna cum laude graduate of the Hartt School of Music, University of Hartford. His New York debut was presented by the American Institute of Guitar during its Third International Guitar Festival. David's Merkin Hall (NYC) solo concert was sponsored by National Public Radio. He has performed throughout North America and Japan, has numerous solo recordings, and was featured on the first Windham Hill Guitar Sampler. |
