BAND HISTORY & VISION
A few friends got together near the end of 2001 in Auckland city and talked about music and the possibility of forming a band. They met on weekends at Starbucks Caf K Road and then changed the venue after awhile and met at Tony’s house in Kelston. This continued on for a few weeks and then gradually things finally started to fall into place. After hours of discussion and weeks of sitting around and trying out different things the band got it’s name and had finally decided on its vision.
The final name for the band was Veracity and Veracity’s decision on their vision was to impact Nationally and Internationally with a combination of Rock and Funk music combined with original written lyrics. This is a not a self-glorifying thing but a giving out of themselves so people will be inspired by their writing and playing. They also have a desire to bring a different angle and perspective into their music unlike anything else people have heard or seen before. Previous members had been in bands before and felt they were playing music just for the sake of it and this time around they wanted to write music that related and had a powerful message for all age groups and cultures in mind.
Veracity are not scared to talk or sing about issues which can sometimes be sensitive but within themselves are motivated and heart driven to bring positivity out of negativity.
