Artist History
Born July 16,1981, and raised a Jersey-Girl (minus the huge hair), Jaymie Gerard was musically inclined practically since birth. From the time she could talk she was singing, and with strong creative abilities, it was only a matter of time until she began to write her own songs. At age 13, Jaymie taught herself how to play guitar. By 15 she and her friend started an acoustic duo and played various places including Borders Books & Music, and the Bitter End in NYC. As high school came to end so did her duo, and so began Jaymie's solo career as a singer/songwriter. She attended the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, and had a weekly spot at a cozy lounge called Paloma's in Baltimore. Jaymie was happy with her music career in MD, but was craving the fast pace of NYC, so she transferred college to William Paterson Univeristy in Wayne, NJ. Since has since spent most of her free time writing and producing music than than playing out. Her goal for this summer and beyond, however, is to play as much as possible and finish her CD.
