Artist History
Formed to fill a regular Tuesday evening gig at the
New Orleans in Seattle in April of 1987, the group
had its seeds in a cassette album made by Will
Peoples called "Good Things Comin'". But it goes
much further back - Doug Bright made his debut on
accordion and vocals on Stan Boreson's King Klubhouse
TV show in Seattle in 1958! Doug had been turned
onto Excello Records and an accordion at age 6,
and those swamp blues began to take hold. The
rehearsal tape for Will's recording project landed
us our gig that lasted 15 years, and we still play
there occasionally, and all over the NW! |

Press Reviews
"This is no toe-in-the-water band striving for
authenticity, but rather a full-blooded high-energy
band who, without necessarily being strictly
zydeco have absorbed the tradition to remarkably
good effect." -Chris Woodford, Now Dig This
"As fine a collection of various related southern
roots styles linked with a common zydeco base as
you could hope for" -Marc Fenech, Southern & Rockin'
"You guys are my favorite band! "-Buddy Knox Rock'n'Roll Legend - author of "Party Doll"
"I thought they was some boogly band from down
here in the swamps! "- Johnny Vincent, Ace Records
"How in the hell did you guys learn how to play
this kind of music?" -Stan Lewis, Paula Records |
