Artist description
Using a freeware MIDI sequencer, registered copy of Audio Compositor with Fluid 3 soundfont, and a freeware MusicMatch Jukebox, I make my songs. If I ever sing to them, I'll be using Goldwave for that. While I have limitations to the realism of my songs because they are midis, I try to make them at least interesting for me to listen to, and I'm a very picky music critic. I would encourage anyone who sucks at playing instruments to look into making MIDIs or MODs, because it is an unreal experience to create compositions that you love. |

Artist History
Almost 3 years ago, I learned how to make MIDIs in a community college class called Electronic Music Studio. I learned various things about recording arts, digital music via keyboard and computer, and MIDI music with modules, keyboards, and computers. My experience in that studio was so great that I just had to make composing a hobby of mine.
First, I began to remake video game tunes I like, mostly from Wizardry, Ninja Gaiden, and Dragon Warrior games (the old school stuff!). Eventually, I began to be able to put my own thoughts down into a song, and out popped my first original, Creepin'. In comparison to everything else I've made, it sucks, but back then, I was ecstatic to have taken such a huge step.
More and more songs came. Eventually, I started to make some rock songs that I liked, some that will show up on here soon (Kind will be my next probably). I was chugging out songs or at least ideas of songs at a rate of about 1 or 2 per day for a number of months. Eventually I started slowing down a bit and figured out more techniques to composing MIDIs. Now, I've composed 175 semi-full to full songs (not including remixes), about 85% of which I still like, and easily about 300 ideas that are little chunks of music left unfinished. I have 7 mock albums I've made up but probably have enough songs to make only about 4 or 5 top notch albums (at least top notch to me), which are the only albums I would ever want to release.
Most artists are out for fame or money or women or what have you. I have and always will make my music for primarily my own tastes. If I put out albums, I will never put out albums with songs I don't like, because I would lose respect for myself as an artist. So yea...this is me. |
